• 1. Check loading: Ensure food items are not blocking the rear wall vents in the fridge or freezer. Leave space for air circulation.
• 2. Inspect door seals: Run a thin strip of paper around the door gasket; if it pulls out easily anywhere, the seal may be faulty or the door misaligned.
• 3. Listen for fan: With doors closed (or door switch held), listen for the evaporator fan. If not running, see fan fault entries.
• 4. Check air damper (if fitted): Some Indesit models have a motorized damper between freezer and fridge. Access it from the fridge rear wall and check for ice blockage or mechanical jam. Carefully defrost any ice with warm air.
