Possible Causes
Failed LED light module, Loose light harness connector, Shorted LED causing driver shutdown, Faulty main control board light driver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before replacing any light modules.
Identify non-working lights:
- Open each compartment and note which LED modules are dark or flickering.
- Access the LED module: Most Insignia LED modules are behind a plastic lens held by clips or small screws. Gently remove the lens.
- Check connector: Ensure the LED module connector is fully seated. Reseat it if loose.
- Replace faulty LED module: If the module is visibly burned or still does not light, replace it with an Insignia-compatible LED module.
- Test after each replacement: Restore power briefly to confirm operation before reassembling all covers.
Note: If multiple modules fail simultaneously or new modules do not light, the main control board's lighting circuit may be defective and require professional replacement.
