Possible Causes
Normal vacuum effect after door closure, Blocked cabinet pressure equalization vent, Door gaskets sealing too tightly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No electrical work is required for this symptom.
Understand normal behavior:
- A temporary suction effect for a few seconds after closing the door is normal as warm air cools and contracts.
- Check vents: Ensure any cabinet pressure equalization vents are not blocked by packaging or insulation.
- Inspect gaskets: If doors are extremely hard to open for long periods, check gaskets for misalignment or excessive adhesion. Lightly wiping gaskets with a damp cloth and a small amount of food-safe silicone lubricant can reduce sticking.
Note: This condition is usually not a fault unless doors remain very difficult to open for more than a minute after closing.
