Display shows SY CF; refrigerator may not cool or may behave erratically.

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any covers. Avoid flexing ribbon cables excessively.

• Power reset: Turn off the refrigerator at the breaker or unplug it for 5–10 minutes. Restore power and see if the code clears.
• Check harness routing: Inspect the wiring harness that runs from the cabinet to the doors (often through the bottom hinge area). Look for pinched, cut, or broken wires.
• Inspect connectors: At both the main control board and the dispenser/door control board, unplug and replug the communication connectors to clean minor oxidation.
• Moisture check: Look for signs of water intrusion around the dispenser area or where harnesses enter the door. Dry any moisture and correct any leaks.
• Board diagnosis: If wiring is intact and the error persists, one of the boards is not communicating correctly. Determining which board is faulty usually requires specialized tools and service documentation; contact a JennAir-authorized technician.
