Possible Causes
Momentary power interruption, Loose wall outlet connection, Tripped circuit breaker, Faulty power cord or plug
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure your hands are dry before touching plugs or outlets. Do not work on live wiring.
Steps to resolve:
- Confirm power is stable: Check that lights and other appliances on the same circuit are working. Reset any tripped breaker in your electrical panel.
- Inspect the outlet: Gently wiggle the refrigerator plug. If it is loose or sparks, stop and contact an electrician.
- Clear the PF code: Press and hold the “Alarm Reset” or “Measured Fill” button for 3–5 seconds (model dependent) until the code clears.
- Check cord and plug: Inspect for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. If damaged, unplug the unit and have the power cord replaced by a qualified technician.
If PF recurs frequently and other devices are unaffected, have an electrician check the circuit for voltage drops or loose connections.
