How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the water supply before working on water components.
- Check for frozen lines: Feel the door and dispenser area for cold spots. If the line is frozen, increase refrigerator temperature slightly and leave doors closed to allow thawing.
- Inspect water valve: At the rear bottom, check the dual or triple water inlet valve connectors for secure fit and no corrosion.
- Test valve coils: Measure resistance of each coil; replace the valve if any coil is open.
- Ice maker sensor: If the ice maker overfills or underfills, the internal level sensor may be faulty; replace the ice maker assembly.
