Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before accessing the freezer fan.

Access fan: Remove freezer drawers and the rear interior panel to expose the evaporator and fan assembly.
Check for ice: Look for ice buildup around the fan housing. Defrost with a hair dryer on low if necessary, avoiding direct heat on plastic for long periods.
Inspect fan: Ensure the blades are intact and can spin freely by hand. If they wobble or are broken, replace the fan assembly.
Test motor: Disconnect the fan and measure resistance. An open or shorted reading indicates a bad motor.
Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the fan to the main PCB for pinched or broken wires. Repair as needed.
Replace fan: Install a new LG freezer evaporator fan motor, reassemble panels, and restore power.

Error code “Er FF” and freezer temperature is too warm or fluctuates; compressor may run continuously.
