Error code “Er HS” appears and the unit may not defrost correctly or may show erratic temperature behavior.

Safety: Disconnect power before accessing control panels or sensors.

• Locate humidity sensor: On many LG French door models, the humidity sensor is located near the air duct or in the control housing in the fresh food section.
• Inspect sensor and housing: Check for condensation buildup, corrosion, or physical damage. Dry any visible moisture with a soft cloth.
• Check connections: Reseat the sensor connector and ensure it is fully locked in place.
• Replace sensor: If the error returns after a power reset and inspection, replace the humidity sensor assembly with an LG-compatible part.
• Control board: If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the main PCB may not be interpreting the sensor signal correctly and may require replacement.

Tip: Avoid leaving doors open for extended periods, as excess humidity can stress the sensor.
