Listen for fan operation: After restoring power (doors closed), listen near the ice compartment for the fan. If silent and the error persists, suspect the fan motor.
Access ice fan: Remove the ice room cover and ducting (screws and clips) to reach the fan assembly.
Inspect wiring: Check the fan connector and wiring harness for damage or loose connections.
Replace faulty parts: If the fan blades are seized or the motor tests open with a multimeter, replace the ice room fan assembly. If the thermistor in the ice room is damaged, replace it as well.
