Display shows dO and an alarm may sound, indicating a door open condition.

Safety first: No internal electrical work is needed for basic checks. Unplug the unit before replacing switches.

Steps:

• Verify door closure: Check that nothing is blocking the door from closing (food items, shelves, bins). Ensure the unit is level so doors self-close properly.
• Inspect door gasket: Look for warped or torn gaskets that prevent full closure. Replace if necessary.
• Test door switch: Locate the door switch (usually in the frame near the top or side). Press it manually; the interior light should turn off and the alarm should stop. If not, the switch may be faulty.
• Replace door switch: Pry out the switch carefully, disconnect the wires, and install a Magic Chef-compatible door switch. Reconnect wires and snap the switch back into place.
