Display shows H1 and the refrigerator compartment is too warm.

Possible Causes
Door left open or not sealing, Blocked air vents from freezer to fridge, Failed refrigerator thermistor, Evaporator frost buildup restricting airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal electrical work is required for initial checks, but unplug the unit if removing panels.
Steps:
- Check doors and gaskets: Ensure the refrigerator door closes fully and the gasket is not torn or warped. Look for items on shelves preventing full closure.
- Inspect air vents: Inside the refrigerator, locate the cold air inlet vents (usually on the back or side wall). Make sure food items are not blocking these vents.
- Check freezer frost: Look at the freezer back wall. A solid sheet of frost indicates a defrost problem restricting airflow. See the defrost heater fault scenario (E4) for further steps.
- Allow recovery time: After correcting door or loading issues, allow 12–24 hours for temperatures to return to normal. The H1 alarm should clear automatically.
- Sensor check: If the compartment remains warm and H1 persists, test or replace the refrigerator thermistor as described in the E1 scenario.
