Excessive frost or ice buildup on food and walls inside the freezer.

• Inspect gasket: Look for tears, gaps, or hardened sections of the freezer door gasket.
• Clean gasket: Wipe with warm soapy water and dry to improve sealing.
• Dollar bill test: Close the door on a dollar bill and gently pull; if it slides out easily, the gasket may not be sealing in that area.
• Defrost excess ice: Unplug the unit and allow ice to melt; do not chip ice with sharp tools.

If the gasket is damaged or does not seal even after cleaning, replace the door gasket. If the door is sagging, hinge adjustment or replacement may be needed.
