Possible Causes

Blocked condenser coils, Failed condenser fan motor, Overheated compressor triggering protection, Faulty high‑pressure or temperature sensor (if equipped)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance before cleaning coils or accessing the rear compartment. Do not damage refrigerant lines.

Steps:

  • Check ventilation: Ensure there is sufficient space around the refrigerator per Miele installation instructions. Poor airflow can cause overheating.
  • Clean condenser: Remove the lower rear cover and gently vacuum or brush dust from the condenser coils. Use a soft brush to avoid bending fins.
  • Verify condenser fan operation: With power restored, observe whether the condenser fan runs when the compressor is on. If not, unplug and test the fan for free rotation and continuity. Replace if defective.
  • Allow cool‑down: If the compressor is very hot to the touch, leave the unit unplugged for 30–60 minutes, then restart.

If F10 recurs after cleaning and verifying fan operation, a sensor or sealed system issue may be present. Contact a Miele service technician.
