Possible Causes
Defective water inlet valve, Blocked water filter, Kinked or frozen water line, Low household water pressure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the water supply and disconnect power before working on water connections.
Steps:
- Check water supply: Ensure the shut‑off valve is fully open and that household water pressure is adequate.
- Inspect water line: Look for kinks or sharp bends in the water hose behind the refrigerator. Straighten as needed.
- Replace water filter: If equipped, replace the internal or external Miele water filter if it is older than the recommended interval or appears clogged.
- Test inlet valve: Access the valve at the rear bottom of the unit. Check for continuity across the solenoid coils. Replace the valve if open or if it hums but does not pass water when energized.
If F11 persists after these checks, the control board or flow sensor (if fitted) may be faulty and should be evaluated by a technician.
