Possible Causes
Failed air duct NTC sensor, Sensor dislodged from airflow channel, Wiring damage in air duct area, Faulty main PCB sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before removing interior panels.
Procedure:
- Locate air duct sensor: On Neff MultiAirflow models, an additional sensor may be located in the air distribution duct between freezer and fridge compartments.
- Remove duct cover: Carefully unclip or unscrew the plastic duct cover inside the fridge compartment.
- Inspect sensor: Check that the sensor is properly clipped in place and not hanging loose. Look for damage to the sensor body or wires.
- Test sensor: Disconnect and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to expected NTC values. Replace if faulty.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness for pinched or broken wires where it passes through the cabinet.
- Reassemble: Install a new Neff air duct sensor if needed, secure the duct cover, and restore power.
