Refrigerator makes loud knocking, banging, or rattling noises during operation

Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before touching moving parts or metal components.

• Step 1 – Level the unit: Use a spirit level to check side-to-side and front-to-back. Adjust leveling legs until stable and doors close smoothly.
• Step 2 – Check rear components: Remove the rear cover and inspect the condenser fan, shroud, and compressor. Tighten any loose screws.
• Step 3 – Isolate tubing: Look for refrigerant lines touching each other or the cabinet. Gently bend them slightly or insert foam to prevent contact.
• Step 4 – Compressor mounts: Inspect rubber grommets under the compressor. If cracked or missing, have them replaced to reduce vibration.
