Display shows 22E; refrigerator section is warm, and you may hear no fan noise or intermittent buzzing.

Safety first: Always unplug the refrigerator before removing panels or touching wiring.

Step 1 – Reset the code:

• Press and hold Power Freeze and Power Cool for 8–10 seconds.
• If 22E returns, proceed to physical inspection.

Step 2 – Access and inspect the fan:

• Empty the fresh food compartment and remove shelves.
• Remove the rear interior panel to expose the evaporator and fan.
• Check for frost buildup around the fan; defrost gently if needed.
• Ensure the fan blade is not broken and spins freely.
• Verify the fan connector is fully seated and wires are intact.

Step 3 – Replace the fan motor if faulty:

• Disconnect the Refrigerator Evaporator Fan Motor harness.
• Remove mounting screws or clips and swap in a new fan motor assembly.
• Reassemble the panel and restore power.

When to call a technician: If the fan tests good but does not receive voltage when the compressor is running, the Main PCB may need replacement.
