How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working in the ice room.
Step 1 – Reset the error:
- Press and hold Power Freeze and Power Cool for 8–10 seconds.
- If 46E returns, continue.
Step 2 – Access the ice room sensor:
- Remove the ice bucket and ice room cover.
- Locate the Ice Room Sensor (often clipped to the wall or duct).
Step 3 – Inspect and test the sensor:
- Check for ice buildup around the sensor; defrost gently if needed.
- Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance with a multimeter; compare to Samsung specs.
- If out of range, replace the sensor.
Step 4 – Reassemble and test:
- Install the new sensor, reconnect wiring, and reassemble the ice room.
- Restore power and verify that 46E clears.
Note: If the error persists with a new sensor, the Main PCB may be faulty and should be evaluated by a technician.
