Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Step 1 – Check door closure:
- Ensure all doors are fully closed and not obstructed by food items or shelves.
- Verify that gaskets are sealing properly.
Step 2 – Inspect door sensors:
- Locate the door switch or magnetic sensor (often at the top of the cabinet or in the door frame).
- Check that the magnet in the door is present and aligned with the sensor.
Step 3 – Test the door switch (advanced):
- Unplug the refrigerator.
- Remove the sensor cover and disconnect the switch.
- Use a multimeter to test continuity when the switch is pressed or when a magnet is applied.
- Replace the Door Switch or Door Reed Sensor if faulty.
Step 4 – Reassemble and test:
- Reinstall the sensor, restore power, and verify that the dE error and alarm stop when doors are closed.
Note: If sensors are good but the error persists, the Main PCB may be misreading the inputs and should be checked by a technician.
