Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before inspecting wiring.
Step 1 – Inspect door hinges and harness:
- Open the top hinge cover on the affected door (usually the right door).
- Locate the door wire harness and check for pinched, cut, or corroded wires.
- Ensure the harness connector is fully seated.
Step 2 – Check harness continuity (advanced):
- With the unit unplugged, disconnect the harness at both ends (door and cabinet).
- Use a multimeter to check continuity on each wire.
- If any wire is open, replace the Door Wire Harness.
Step 3 – Inspect main PCB connections:
- Remove the rear access cover and locate the Main PCB.
- Verify that all connectors related to door communication are secure.
Note: If wiring is intact and PC ER persists, the Main PCB or door control board may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
