How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before working on the dispenser or auger.

Step 1 – Check for ice jams:

Remove the ice bucket and inspect for clumped or stuck ice.
Empty the bucket and rinse with warm water to clear jams; dry thoroughly.

Step 2 – Inspect auger and coupling:

Look at the auger shaft and coupling at the back of the bucket.
Ensure the coupling is not stripped or broken.

Step 3 – Test auger motor (advanced):

With the unit unplugged, access the Auger Motor from the freezer door or rear of the dispenser area.
Check for continuity and free rotation; replace if faulty.

Step 4 – Check dispenser switch:

Remove the dispenser cover and test the Dispenser Switch for continuity when pressed.
Replace if defective.
