Misaligned door hinges, Warped or damaged door gasket, Overloaded door bins, Refrigerator not level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Step 1 – Level the refrigerator:
- Use a level on top of the unit.
- Adjust front leveling legs so the refrigerator leans slightly back; doors should close by themselves from halfway open.
Step 2 – Check door gaskets:
- Inspect Door Gaskets for tears, warping, or debris.
- Clean with warm soapy water and dry.
- Use a hair dryer on low to gently warm and reshape warped gasket areas.
Step 3 – Reduce door load:
- Remove heavy items from door bins that may be pulling the door out of alignment.
Step 4 – Adjust hinges (advanced):
- Loosen hinge screws slightly and adjust the door position so it aligns with the cabinet.
- Tighten screws securely.
Note: Severely damaged gaskets should be replaced with new Door Gasket assemblies.
