Water dispenser not working but ice maker still produces ice.

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator and turn off the water supply before disconnecting any water lines.

Steps:

• 1. Check control settings: Ensure the dispenser is not locked via the control panel child lock function.
• 2. Test dispenser switch: Press the dispenser lever and listen for a click or valve activation sound. If silent, the switch or control may be faulty.
• 3. Inspect for frozen line: On door-dispenser models, a frozen line in the door is common. Increase fridge temperature slightly and leave door closed for several hours to thaw. Some models have a heater kit available.
• 4. Check tubing: Remove the kick plate and inspect the water line connection at the bottom of the door. Disconnect and test for water flow from the cabinet side when the dispenser is activated (requires brief powered test; use caution).
