• 2. Clear ice: Use warm water (not boiling) in a turkey baster or syringe to melt any ice in the drain hole. Repeat until water flows freely.
• 3. Clean drain tube: From the rear of the appliance, locate the drain outlet above the compressor. Insert a flexible plastic line or pipe cleaner to clear any blockage.
• 4. Sanitize: Flush the drain with a mild solution of warm water and a little baking soda to reduce future clogs.
• 5. Check drain heater: If your Siemens model has a small heater near the drain, ensure it is correctly positioned to prevent ice build-up.
