Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator if you will be removing trim or panels.

• Step 1 – Check door seals: Inspect gaskets for gaps and perform the paper test. Replace damaged gaskets.
• Step 2 – Improve ventilation: Ensure adequate clearance around the fridge and that warm air can escape from the rear and top.
• Step 3 – Ambient conditions: In very humid environments, some condensation is normal. Use the built-in anti-condensation switch if your SMEG model has one.
• Step 4 – Mullion heater: On models with heated door frames, a failed heater can cause condensation. This typically requires professional diagnosis and replacement.
