• Step 2 – Test door switch: Press the door switch by hand; if the light does not flicker or respond, the switch or lamp may be faulty.
• Step 3 – Replace lamp: On models with replaceable bulbs, fit a new bulb of the correct type and wattage. For LED modules, replace the entire module with a SMEG part.
• Step 4 – Replace switch: If the lamp is good but does not turn on, replace the door switch or reed sensor.
