Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator and be prepared for water spillage; use towels.

• Step 1 – Locate leak source: Check inside the fridge and freezer for water pooling under drawers or at the back wall.
• Step 2 – Access drain: In the freezer, remove drawers and the rear panel to locate the drain hole beneath the evaporator.
• Step 3 – Clear blockage: Use warm (not boiling) water in a turkey baster or syringe to flush the drain hole until water flows freely into the rear drip tray. A flexible plastic drain brush can help dislodge debris.
• Step 4 – Check rear tray: At the back, inspect the drain tube outlet and drip tray above the compressor. Clean any sludge or mould and ensure the tube is correctly positioned over the tray.
• Step 5 – Reassemble and monitor: Refit panels and drawers, restore power, and monitor for further leaks.
