How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid slamming doors; this can damage hinges and glass shelves.
Step 1 – Check for obstructions
- Inspect shelves and bins to ensure no items are protruding and hitting the door.
Step 2 – Inspect gaskets and closure
- Check that the door gasket is not folded or torn.
- Close the door slowly and watch for any points where it bounces back or fails to seal.
Step 3 – Test door switch/sensor
- Manually press the door switch; the alarm should stop and lights should go off.
- If not, test and replace the switch or magnetic sensor.
Step 4 – Adjust hinges
- If the door is sagging, adjust hinge screws or leveling legs to raise and align the door.
