How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before using water near electrical components. Use non‑abrasive, food‑safe cleaners.

Step 1 – Remove all food

  • Empty the refrigerator and discard spoiled items.

Step 2 – Deep clean interior

  • Wash all shelves, bins, and walls with a solution of warm water and baking soda or mild detergent.
  • Pay special attention to crevices, under shelves, and around gaskets.

Step 3 – Clean drain trough and pan

  • Access the evaporator drain trough and flush with warm water and a small amount of vinegar to remove biofilm.
  • Clean the external drain pan under the unit with hot soapy water.

Step 4 – Deodorize

  • Place an open box of baking soda or a refrigerator deodorizer inside to absorb residual odors.
