Possible Causes

Open thermistor circuit, Disconnected sensor plug, Broken sensor lead inside cabinet, Failed main control board sensor input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any covers.

Sensor and wiring check:

  • Locate the thermistor for the compartment showing the Hi reading.
  • Inspect the sensor body and wiring for visible damage.
  • Ensure the connector is fully seated at both the sensor and the main control board.

Test with multimeter:

  • Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance. An infinite (open) reading indicates a broken sensor.

Repair: Replace any open thermistor. If wiring and sensor are intact but Hi persists, the main control board may not be reading the sensor correctly and may need replacement.
