Ice buildup on freezer floor or around door, door hard to close.

Safety first: No electrical work is required; keep the unit plugged in if only inspecting gaskets.

Gasket inspection:

• Examine the entire perimeter of the freezer gasket for tears, gaps, or hardened sections.
• Close the door on a thin strip of paper at multiple points; if it pulls out easily, the seal is weak.

Door alignment:

• Check that the unit is level front-to-back and side-to-side.
• Adjust leveling legs as needed so doors self-close and align with the cabinet.

Repair: Replace a damaged gasket with the correct Summit part. Soak the new gasket in warm water or use a hair dryer on low to help it conform to the door. Remove any items that interfere with door closure.
