Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the household water supply to the unit (if connected).
Drain pan check:
- Remove the rear lower access panel.
- Inspect the drain pan for cracks or displacement.
- Ensure the defrost drain tube is properly positioned over the pan.
Water line inspection (if applicable):
- Follow the water supply line from the shutoff valve to the refrigerator inlet valve.
- Check all compression fittings and plastic tubing for leaks or cracks.
- Tighten loose fittings slightly; do not overtighten plastic connections.
Repair: Replace a cracked drain pan or damaged water tubing. If the water inlet valve is leaking from its body, replace it with a Summit-compatible valve.
