Refrigerator runs continuously or not at all, temperature display shows dashes or F03

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the control panel or display housing.

Steps:

• 1. Check installation conditions: Ensure the refrigerator is not installed in an extremely hot or cold environment outside V-ZUG’s specified range, as this can stress the ambient sensor.
• 2. Access the control panel: On many V-ZUG refrigerators, the ambient sensor is integrated near the top control/display module. Remove the trim and screws securing the panel, then gently pull it forward.
• 3. Inspect sensor connector: Look for a small NTC sensor wired to the interface PCB. Check for loose plugs, corrosion, or broken wires.
• 4. Reseat connectors: Disconnect and reconnect the sensor plug to ensure a solid connection.
• 5. Visual inspection of PCB: Check for burn marks or corrosion on the user interface board. If present, the board may need replacement.
• 6. Replace ambient sensor if needed: If the sensor body is cracked or the wiring damaged, replace it with the correct V-ZUG ambient/cabinet sensor for your model.
• 7. If F03 remains after sensor replacement: The user interface PCB may be faulty. Replacement requires careful handling of ribbon cables and ESD precautions; consider professional service.
