Steps:

• 1. Check door closure: Ensure the refrigerator and freezer doors close fully and are not obstructed by food items or shelves.
• 2. Inspect door gaskets: Look for warped or torn gaskets that prevent proper sealing and alignment with the door switch area.
• 3. Locate door switch: On many V-ZUG models, the door contact is a magnetic reed switch located in the cabinet frame, with a magnet embedded in the door.
• 4. Test magnet effect: With the unit powered, move a small magnet over the frame area where the switch is located. If the alarm stops, the door magnet or alignment is at fault.
• 5. Adjust door alignment: Check that the door is level and not sagging. Adjust hinges if necessary so the magnet lines up with the switch.
• 6. Replace faulty components: If the reed switch is cracked or non-responsive, replace it with the correct V-ZUG door switch. If the door magnet is missing or weak, replace the gasket or magnet insert.
• 7. If F08 persists: The wiring to the control board or the interface logic may be faulty. Professional diagnosis is advised.
