Possible Causes

Defective dual water inlet valve,Blocked or frozen water line in door,Clogged internal V-ZUG water filter,Faulty dispenser switch or sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator and close the household water shutoff valve before working on the water system.

Steps:

  • 1. Check water supply: Confirm that other taps in the house have water and that the refrigerator’s shutoff valve is fully open.
  • 2. Replace or bypass filter: If your V-ZUG model uses an internal water filter, replace it with a genuine filter or temporarily bypass it (if allowed by the design) to test flow.
  • 3. Inspect dispenser pad/switch: Press the dispenser lever and listen for a click or valve hum. If nothing happens, the switch or control may be faulty.
  • 4. Check for frozen lines: Feel the door area where the water line runs. If very cold, the line may be frozen. Increase refrigerator temperature slightly and allow time to thaw.
  • 5. Access water inlet valve: At the rear bottom, locate the dual water inlet valve. Check for kinks in the supply line and ensure electrical connectors are secure.
  • 6. Replace inlet valve: If the valve does not open when energized (requires advanced testing), replace it with the correct V-ZUG water inlet valve.

Warning: After any water system work, carefully check for leaks when restoring water pressure.
