Possible Causes
Failed relay on main control board for supercool/superfreeze,Incorrect parameter configuration on PCB,Loose wiring to additional evaporator or fan,Software glitch in control firmware
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing the control board.
Steps:
- 1. Confirm function settings: Ensure Supercool/Superfreeze is correctly activated via the control panel and that the door is properly closed.
- 2. Power cycle: Unplug the refrigerator for 10 minutes, then reconnect and try activating the function again.
- 3. Listen for changes: When the function is activated, you should hear the compressor and possibly additional fans ramp up. If nothing changes, suspect the control output.
- 4. Inspect main PCB: Access the main control board and look for any obvious damage or loose connectors related to the high-power outputs.
- 5. Replace main PCB: If the board is not energizing the compressor/fans for this mode and wiring is intact, replace the main control board with the correct V-ZUG part.
Warning: Some configuration parameters may need to be set on a new PCB; this is best done by an authorized technician with access to V-ZUG service tools.
