Possible Causes
Failed Hall-effect door sensor on cabinet,Magnet in door gasket misaligned or missing,Wiring fault between sensor and control board,Control board input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing trim around the door frame.
Steps:
- 1. Verify physical closure: Ensure the door closes flush with the cabinet and is not springing back open.
- 2. Inspect gasket magnet: Some V-ZUG models use a magnet embedded in the gasket. Check for damage or displacement.
- 3. Locate Hall sensor: The sensor is typically behind a small cover in the cabinet frame. Remove the cover to access it.
- 4. Check alignment: Close the door slowly and confirm that the magnet passes directly over the sensor location. Adjust hinges if necessary.
- 5. Replace faulty sensor: If the sensor body is cracked or the error persists despite correct alignment, replace it with the correct V-ZUG Hall door sensor.
- 6. If F19 remains: The control board input may be defective and require replacement.
Warning: Do not drill new holes in the cabinet; this can damage insulation and wiring.
