Possible Causes
Aging NTC sensors, Poor sensor placement or contact, Firmware calibration offset, Airflow issues causing stratification
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before accessing sensors or control boards.
Steps to correct temperature readings:
- Verify with a reliable thermometer: Place a thermometer in water in the fridge and in the freezer to get accurate readings.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure sensors are properly clipped and not touching warm lights or cold evaporator surfaces unless designed to.
- Replace drifting sensors: If readings are consistently off and sensors test out of spec, replace the affected NTC sensors.
- Control calibration: Some Vestfrost models allow minor temperature offset adjustments via the menu; consult the user manual.
Note: Allow at least 24 hours after any change for temperatures to stabilize before rechecking.
