Possible Causes
Faulty ice maker motor module, Defective ice level sensor, Jammed ice tray or ejector arm, Broken wiring between ice maker and PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the water supply before servicing the ice maker.
Steps to address E10 (ice maker fault):
- Check for mechanical jams: Remove the ice bin and inspect the ice maker for stuck cubes, frost buildup, or a jammed ejector arm. Clear any obstructions carefully.
- Verify water supply: Ensure the water valve to the refrigerator is open and the supply line is not kinked. Check for leaks.
- Inspect wiring and connectors: Remove the ice maker cover (if present) and check the harness connection to the ice maker module. Reseat connectors.
- Reset the ice maker: Some Vestfrost models have a test or reset button on the ice maker. Press and hold as per the user manual to initiate a test cycle after restoring power.
- Replace ice maker module: If the module does not move through a test cycle or E10 persists, replace the complete ice maker assembly with a Vestfrost-compatible unit.
Warning: Do not force the ejector arm or gears; this can permanently damage the module.
