Possible Causes

Defective water inlet valve coil, Blocked inlet filter or screen, Faulty flow sensor (on some models), Stuck valve due to scale or debris

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the refrigerator and close the water supply valve before working on the water system.

Steps to diagnose and fix E11 (water inlet):

  • Check water pressure: Ensure adequate water pressure at the supply. Very low pressure can cause fill errors.
  • Inspect inlet hose and filter: Disconnect the hose at the refrigerator and check the small mesh filter in the inlet valve for debris. Clean or replace as needed.
  • Test the inlet valve coils: Access the rear lower area where the water inlet valve is mounted. Disconnect the electrical connectors and measure coil resistance. An open coil indicates a failed valve.
  • Check for leaks or stuck valve: If water continues to flow when the refrigerator is unplugged, the valve is mechanically stuck open and must be replaced immediately.
  • Replace the water inlet valve: Install a new Vestfrost-compatible valve, ensuring all connections are tight and leak-free. Use new sealing washers if required.

After repair: Turn on the water supply, check for leaks, then restore power and test dispenser and ice maker functions.
