Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before removing internal panels.

Steps to restore fridge cooling:

Check for blocked vents: Ensure food packages are not blocking the air outlets in the freezer or inlets in the refrigerator compartment.
Listen for evaporator fan: With the door switch held closed, listen for the fan running in the freezer. If silent, test and replace the evaporator fan motor as needed.
Inspect for ice buildup: Remove the freezer rear panel and check for heavy ice on the evaporator and around air channels. Defrost fully and investigate defrost system components if ice returns quickly.
Check air damper: On models with a motorized or mechanical damper between compartments, verify it opens and closes freely. Replace a broken or stuck damper assembly.

Note: After clearing airflow issues, allow 12–24 hours for refrigerator temperatures to stabilize.

Freezer cold but refrigerator compartment warm; food spoils in fridge section while freezer seems normal.
