Possible Causes

Thermistor readings out of range due to sensor failure, Door left open or poor door seal, Blocked air vents causing temperature stratification

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: No internal live-voltage work is required for basic checks, but unplug the unit if removing panels.

Steps:

  • Check doors and gaskets: Ensure all doors close fully and gaskets are sealing. Look for torn or warped sections.
  • Verify loading: Avoid blocking air vents with food items, especially near the back wall and top of the compartments.
  • Thermometer check: Place an appliance thermometer in both compartments to verify actual temperatures versus display readings.
  • Sensor diagnostics: If the display shows unrealistic temperatures compared to a thermometer, test the compartment thermistors as described for E1/E2.

Corrective action: Correct any airflow or door seal issues. Replace faulty thermistors if sensor readings are inaccurate. Clear the alarm by pressing the alarm reset button or cycling power.
