How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal high-voltage work is required for basic reset. Unplug the unit if removing the control panel.
Steps:
- Attempt a soft reset: Use the front panel buttons to exit any special modes per the user manual (e.g., press and hold specific keys).
- Hard reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then restore power and reprogram desired temperatures.
- Button test: If certain buttons do not respond or feel stuck, remove the control panel and inspect the keypad or touch board for contamination or damage.
Corrective action: If the error persists and buttons are unresponsive, replace the user interface / keypad assembly. If a firmware update is available from Viking, it should be performed by an authorized technician.
