Display shows dE or door error, interior lights may stay off and cooling may pause.

• Check door closure: Ensure doors close fully and gaskets are not obstructing the switch area.
• Test door switch: Locate the door switch (often in the liner near the hinge side). Press it manually and see if lights and display respond. If not, remove the switch and test continuity with a multimeter. Replace if it does not change state when pressed.
• Inspect wiring: Check for broken wires at the switch or where they pass through the cabinet.
• If the switch and wiring are good but dE persists, the main control board may not be reading the input correctly and may need replacement.
