Possible Causes
Door left open, Heavy frost restricting airflow, Failed compressor or start device, Freezer thermistor fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Keep the freezer door closed as much as possible to preserve remaining cold.
Steps:
- Check door seal: Inspect the freezer gasket for gaps or tears. Ensure drawers are fully closed.
- Look for frost buildup: If the evaporator cover is heavily frosted, the unit may have a defrost problem. See defrost fault entries.
- Listen for compressor: If the compressor is not running at all, check the start relay and overload on the compressor.
- Reset alarm: Clear H2 and monitor. If temperatures do not recover within several hours, further diagnosis of the sealed system, thermistor, or control board is required.
