Freezer cold but refrigerator warm, little or no air coming from refrigerator vents.

Safety First: Unplug the refrigerator before removing interior panels.

Steps:

• Check vents: Ensure food items are not blocking the vents in the refrigerator and freezer.
• Listen for fan: Hold the refrigerator door switch closed and listen for the evaporator fan. If silent, see evaporator fan fault entry.
• Inspect damper: Locate the air damper (usually at the top or side of the fresh food section). Remove its cover and check if the door is stuck closed by ice or mechanical failure.
• Defrost and test: If iced, defrost and verify operation. If the damper motor does not move during temperature changes or diagnostic tests, replace the damper assembly.
