Ice maker not producing ice (on Zanussi models with built-in ice maker)

Safety: Turn off the water supply and unplug the appliance before working on the ice system.

Steps:

• Check water supply: Ensure the tap feeding the fridge is open and the hose is not kinked.
• Inspect fill tube: Look at the plastic tube that feeds water into the ice maker. If iced over, defrost it with warm air (hairdryer on low) and check for underlying temperature issues.
• Test water valve: Listen for the valve when the ice maker calls for water. If silent and no water flows, the valve may be faulty.
• Check ice maker arm: Ensure the ice maker's shut-off arm or sensor is not stuck in the off position.
• Replace faulty parts: Replace the water inlet valve or ice maker module as needed.
