Unpleasant odour inside the refrigerator that persists after basic cleaning

Safety: Unplug the appliance before deep cleaning.

Steps:

• Empty and clean: Remove all food and shelves. Wash interior surfaces with a solution of baking soda and warm water.
• Clean drain: Flush the defrost drain with warm water and a mild disinfectant to remove mould and residue.
• Clean drip tray: At the rear, remove and wash the condensate tray above the compressor.
• Deodorise: Place an open box of baking soda or activated charcoal inside the fridge to absorb residual odours.
