Water leaking inside the fridge compartment, pooling under drawers or on shelves

Possible Causes
Clogged drain hole behind fridge back panel, Ice plug in drain tube, Food debris blocking drain channel, Damaged drain heater (if fitted)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before working inside.
Steps:
- Locate drain: In many Zanussi models, the drain hole is at the rear of the fridge, just above the crisper drawers, or behind the freezer evaporator panel.
- Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner or flexible plastic rod to gently clear the drain hole. Do not use sharp metal objects.
- Flush with warm water: Using a turkey baster or syringe, flush warm (not boiling) water down the drain until it flows freely into the rear drip tray.
- Check rear tray: At the back, ensure the condensate tray above the compressor is correctly positioned and not overflowing.
- Prevent recurrence: Avoid pushing food against the rear wall where it can freeze and block the drain channel.
