Possible Causes
Excessive slope or soft ground causing high load, Grass or mud packed around drive wheels, Partially seized wheel motor bearings, Faulty motor driver circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the main switch and remove the mower from the lawn before inspection.
- Check terrain: Ensure the mower is not operating on slopes beyond AL-KO's specification or in deep, soft soil. Adjust the working area if necessary.
- Clean wheels and chassis: Remove mud, wet grass, and debris from the drive wheels and wheel arches. Verify that the wheels rotate freely by hand.
- Inspect wheel bearings: Listen and feel for grinding or stiffness when turning the wheels. If present, the wheel motor assembly may be failing.
- Reduce cutting height: If the mower is struggling in tall grass, raise the cutting height and gradually lower it over several days.
- Electrical inspection: If E11 occurs even on flat, clean ground, inspect the main PCB for signs of overheating around the motor driver components. Replacement of the PCB or motor may be required.
